Training at 818 RCACS

The purpose of this page is to serve as a reference for all upcoming training events, such as resources required and rubrics for instructional evaluations. 
Should you at any point have questions with regards to your training, please speak to your instructors first, then WO2 Vigneswaran for assistance. 


Due to COVID​-19, we may not be parading but we still want to ensure that all cadets have the opportunity to complete their training level and complete the requirements to be promoted this training year.

Awards
Each training year, cadets who show exceptional dedication towards the cadet program are recognized in front of their peers. This year, the following cadets will be recognized on October 26th, 2020 at 1830hrs via Zoom for our Virtual Awards and Presentations Event. Please attend to show your support and help the staff of 818 RCACS congratulate all cadets on a job well done.

The cadet showing the most potential in their inaugural year with the Air Cadets goes to:

The awards for outstanding support and participation at both the junior and senior levels are made to the cadets who have maintained a high level of participation, have assisted with the program and have maintained a high level of esprit-de-corps.

Instruction in the program is very important, and being a peer-to-peer program, the staff at 818 RCACS would like to recognize one instructor who went above and beyond to help support the squadron's training. This year the Top Instructor Award goes to:
WO2 Vigneswaran. 

We are delighted to present two of our outstanding cadets with medals whos numbers are limited nationally. 
The Royal Canadian Legion Cadet Medal of Excellence is Awarded in recognition for individual endeavors in citizenship that meet or enhance the aims and objectives of the Cadet Movement. This years recipient is: 
WO2 Vigneswaran

The origin of the Strathcona Foundation dates back to 1909. Lord Strathcona wished to improve the physical and intellectual capabilities of youths by encouraging habits of self-discipline, good citizenship and patriotism. To this end, he created the foundation bearing his name. This medal is award to the most deserving cadet of each corps and is recognized as the highest award that can granted to a cadet. This year, the Lord Strathcona Medal is being presented to:

Cadet Committees
Something new making an appearance while training remains virtual to help preserve the peer-to-peer aspect of the program is various committees. Please see the short descriptions below along with the cadets who will be part of each. More information on what the committee members will be doing will be announced on October 19th and 26th at the end of the virtual training night.

Each cadet is responsible to help with attendance and receiving feedback from the cadets in the level they are responsible for. The following cadets will be supporting the levels:
